Living In A Literary Society

Why I have started blogging…

Dear Penants, (It’s like a combination of pen and tenants- carrying the connotation that we live for writing- Just a cheeky little concoction of a nickname for you all!)

‘Oh yes!’ they say, ‘It is indeed a competitive world out there!’ And Oh my goodness do their words spill out of their educated mouths in a patronising slither. I will be the first to put my hand up and admit that I am a moron, and haven’t noticed the dogs eating each other on the streets in order to get a meal. Dog eat dog, I do believe is the term that is force fed down our throats from day one…

When a UCAS advisor came into my college and gave us lecture on the advantages of having a beneficial ‘pre-university life’ I was to no stretch of the imagination, surprised to hear that it’s a competitive world out there. It is?

Of course it is. Laying all of the sarcasm down on a bed of disbelief -

This is the very reason that I have decided to start blogging. I need to be able to impress my future university, and I want to be partaking in something that I actually enjoy and is appropriate to my course. I am of the understanding that this blog will not be as riviting to many or maybe even any; as it is to me - I could bore a mathematician to death with my ‘Living in an A* Literary Society’ Blog. However, I’m sure my ‘neeky’ little self (combination of ‘nerd’ and ‘geeky’…) will be content writing it none the less.

So, let me begin making my myself into the perfectly rounded smooth edged university prospect.
